Salman Khan’s latest gym picture will inspire you to keep India clean, stay fit and watch Bigg Boss!

Salman Khan is gearing up for his next film, Bharat. The movie reunites him with his Tiger Zinda Hai co-star, Katrina Kaif, and director, Ali Abbas Zafar. Well, seems like he has amped it up in the gym for his role. The actor took to his social media pages and shared a picture, where he is flaunting his bulging biceps. Who would believe that this man is a 52-year old? Just to make the post all the more interesting, the actor wrote a caption that should grab attention immediately. Or at least in India.

Salman wrote, “Swachh Bharat toh hum fit… hum fit toh India fit…. then u can do whatever u want to do man.. but don’t trouble your motherland .”

Yes, the witty actor merged not two but three campaigns into one. He started the caption with PM Narendra Modi’s Swachch Bharat campaign and then added sports minister Rajyavardhan Rathore’s Hum Fit Toh India Fit campaign to the mix. And as a cherry on the top, there was his Bigg Boss catchphrase, “Do whatever you want to do!”

Speaking of Bigg Boss, the twelfth season is all set to return this September. The first promo of the show was aired yesterday and we are so excited. Just like the past two seasons, the latest cycle of the reality show will also have commoners as contestants, along with the celebs. The theme for the new season is that contestants will participate in pairs.

Salman Khan’s Bharat is based on the South Korean film, Ode To My Father. The movie also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Tabu in key roles.

Bigg Boss 12 first promo out! Salman Khan introduces the Vichitra jodis of this season – watch video

We told you today that Salman Khan will be seen in different avatars in the four promos that he has canned for Bigg Boss 12. One of them was of a class teacher. Well, the wait just got over as the first promo is already out. Salman is a teacher introducing what the theme of Vichitra jodis of this season is all about. So there are twins, saas and bahu and also two men who are of different height. Sounds fun isn’t it? Check it out right here… (Also read: [PIC] Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor come together for the promo of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 12 -here’s how)

Speaking of the theme of Bigg Boss 12, a source had informed DNA, “This time, the series is set to redefine the concept of awesome twosome with its theme ‘vichitra jodis’. Usually, the word ‘jodi’ is synonymous with a husband-wife, boyfriend-girlfriend, etc. But the makers have extended it to saas-bahu, boss-employee, mama-bhanja and others. So, contestants will enter the house with another member who is known to them.” There will be more avatars of Salman in the coming days. Talking about the same, the source added, ““In the first one, he will be seen playing himself — an actor, who talks about the world of showbiz and the different jodis that became popular — whether it’s Ram Lakhan or Karan Arjun. In the second, he dons the role of a class teacher. Salman is known to reprimand contestants when they go the wrong way on the show, but he has never played a teacher on screen before. Salman will be seen as a babu working in a government office, discussing the pros and cons of the job. This will be followed by him dressed as a village sutradhar, clad in a kurta pyjama. He won’t have any jodidaar with him in the sneak-peek, but will be the task master for all the contestants.”

So stay tuned for much more fun from Salman Khan soon.

Kamal Haasan: Not that I am Nostradamus but I had foretold the death of Osama Bin Laden while writing the script of Vishwaroopam II

Kamal Haasan has been in town to promote his upcoming film, Vishwaroopam II. With less than one week to go for the release, the tension was almost palpable when we met the actor for an interview. Juggling media interactions with meetings for his political party, Kamal seems to be doing his best to get the balancing act right. Considering his political ambitions, it seems rather incongruous that he is also still making films, but then Vishwaroopam was always planned to have more parts and the second film had gone on the floors even while the first one was still in post-production.

Ask Kamal about this and he says,” The audience’s attention span has reduced considerably. Certain stories demand that they be told over more films than just one. Coppola (Francis Ford Coppola) is a forerunner of this. He took a grand vision like The Godfather by Mario Puzo…they sat with it and no matter how much they culled it, they still had stories left to tell. So, the decision to make Godfather part 2 was made even while they were making the first part and three was also on the anvil. And the man, who was working with Coppola – Barrie Osborne – finally used the same technique for Lord of the Rings. There have been many such instances. These are all inspirations for us. And it is a story that needs to be continuously told.” (Also read: Exclusive! Kamal Haasan: My life is dedicated to politics now)

Point out to him that even Baahubali was made as a two-part series of films and Kamal has a smile on his face. So, is he anticipating that Vishwaroopam II will also be just as successful? “It is already happening. We started making the second part even before Baahubali. The only strategy we had was to make a great film because the box office favours a great film. Now, we will have to see whether it is as great as I think,” he states.

He plays a RAW officer in the film and that mustn’t have been easy but when was Kamal ever known for taking the easy way out. “See, what makes a film interesting, especially a murder mystery or a horror mystery, is the research that goes into it. As an actor it became very easy when the research was done. I was also the screenwriter so I automatically crafted the film around what I could do, keeping my limitations in mind, meanwhile also ensuring that it remains entertaining. In fact the research I did was so good that many things that I had foretold in the script actually happened in real life too…not that I am Nostradamus but I had predicted the death of Bin Laden (Osama Bin Laden). I had written the script before his death. That’s how extensive my research had been; it was so close to the truth, it surprised even me. Research can help you predict the future and even prevent it from happening,” reveals the actor.

When we ask him about how did Rohit Shetty come on-board as the presenter, and the actor clarifies, “He liked the film and probably it excited him. And he personally has a very good rapport with me.”

When on the topic of Rohit, it is impossible to not ask him as to when will he be returning to Bollywood. Assuring his fans, Kamal says, “It is happening. Indian 2 is in the pipeline. Prep work is going on.” (Also read: Ajay Devgn to make his Tamil debut with Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2?)

The actor has been promoting his film extensively, trying to reach maximum people and in his quest to do this, he has visited most popular TV shows too. He was recently on the sets of Salman Khan‘s Dus Ka Dum. Speaking about the experience of interacting with Salman, who he also shares the role of being the host of Bigg Boss with, Kamal said, “He has always been a kind soul and he is nice to me…it is kind of a reciprocal thing. It’s a mutual admiration society!”

While on the topic of mutual admiration, we also ask him as to how did he like his colleague, Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor‘s debut film, Dhadak. The actor seems apologetic as he says, “I am yet to watch it. I have been running around as my party (Makkal Needhi Maiam) is only four-and-a-half months old.” Which is when we tell him that during one of her interviews, when Janhvi was asked if she would be a part of Sadma remake, she had said she would love to and in fact, she would want to attempt Kamal’s role instead of her mother’s. A seemingly proud Kamal beams, “It’s ambitious and she should.” There you go, Janhvi! You have Kamal Haasan’s blessings.

Bigg Boss Malayalam: Shwetha Menon OUT; first transgender actress Anjali Ameer steps in as the new wild card

Nobody expected Shwetha Menon, one of the strongest contestants of Bigg Boss Malayalam, to get evicted so soon.  After all, she had everything to win this show. But like how they say expect the unexpected, things took a shocking turn with Shwetha’s sudden exit from the show last night; that too in such a dramatic way. Mohanlal, the host of the show, asked both the nominees Shwetha and Ranjini to leave the house with their luggage, making everyone believe that it’s a double elimination this week and that both are out from the house. The housemates were shocked and so were Shwetha and Ranjini…. but if only that was the only shocker in store for them. The moment Shwetha and Ranjini stepped out of the house, they were asked to move into a secret room and watch how the housemates are actually reacting to their eviction. While majority of them were upset; Suresh didn’t hesitate from confessing that he’s in fact happy that Shwetha and Ranjini are out of the show.

Mohanlal then got back to Shwetha and Ranjini, who pleaded the star host to send them back inside the house, especially Shwetha who said that she doesn’t want to leave the show being labelled as a “liar”. But unfortunately, Shwetha’s ‘lie’ for self-defense was enough for the viewers to evict her from the show by giving her the least number of votes.

The good news is, Anjali Ameer, the first transgender actress, who made her debut as a lead heroine with a Tamil film Meranbu opposite Mamootty, has now entered the show as the new wild card. Yes! She got a warm welcome from everyone inside the house. It’s left to see what’s going to happen in the show, hereafter. Do you think Anjali will become the new favourite? Or are we in store for more controversies? Share your anticipations in the comments below and keep watching this space for more updates.

Bigg Boss Tamil: NSK Ramya gets ELIMINATED from Kamal Haasan’s show

Just like Bigg Boss Telugu, the Tamil version hosted by Kamal Haasan has surprised the audience with a shocking elimination. While people were expecting the eviction of Aishwarya Dutta, it was NSK Ramya, who was eliminated from the show. As per the Netizens, Aishwarya didn’t deserve to remain in the house because of her cringe behaviour with Mahat Raghavendra, Yashika Aannand and Daniel and issues with Ponnambalam.

Viewers also suggested that Aishwarya was saved as she is the candidate, who can get all the content to increase the TRPs of the show. Though the singer was not disappointed with the elimination as she told Kamal Haasan, “I don’t like to be around where there are fights.” She crooned the song and left the stage. Bigg Boss Marathi season 1 grand finale: And the winner of the show is Megha Dhade

When Bigg Boss Marathi started little had anyone anticipated that it would get as popular as it did. But thanks to the host, Mahesh Manjrekar, and an interesting mix of celebrity contestants, the show constantly made headlines and thus gathered a strong fanbase. As is the case with most reality shows, Bigg Boss Marathi, too, was successful in garnering loyalists. And obviously the audience has its favourites.

The final three contestants on the show were Megha Dhade, Pushkar Jog and Smita Gondkar. Of them, Smita was ousted just before it boiled down to the final two. Smita walked away with a prize money of Rs 2 lakh in cash and was also awarded as the most fit member of the house. Finally Bigg Boss had a talk with the two finalists – Pushkar and Megha. They seemed aptly nervous and the air between the two was tight with tension. But it all unraveled when Mahesh announced the winner. And it was Megha who emerged as the winner of season 1 of the show.

The grand finale episode, which just wrapped up, got much traction with Mahesh Manjrekar doing his best to keep the audience hooked and a host of celebrities making their presence felt. How did you like the marathon episode? And are you happy with the result? Tell us in the comments section below…
