We have been waiting since Ishaqzaade to see Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor share the screen again. Well, the chappar faad ke theory goes true here. The actors are reuniting in two movies – Sandeep Aur Pinky Farrar and Namaste England. We are here to talk about the latest posters of the latter.
Two new posters of the upcoming film, Namaste England, have surfaced online. Parineeti and Arjun had announced yesterday that the new posters are on their way. They even had a cute banter about it on their IG stories. But seems like before they could post the posters officially, they are already available on the internet. Were the posters leaked?
In the two bright, vibrant posters we see the actors don the Union Jack – national flag of the United Kingdom – as part of their outfit. Well, thank God it is not the Indian flag. You know what I mean? Also, the flag used in the posters is that of the UK, while the movie is based in England – the country’s flag is different.
The posters’ tagline reads, “Love can travel any distance”. Directed and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Namaste England is a young and refreshing story that traces the journey of two individuals Jasmeet and Param, played by Arjun and Parineeti, and their love story across the landscapes of India’s Punjab to Dhaka, Paris, Brussels and London. We can’t wait to watch this romantic adventure.
Namastey England was set to hit the screens on December 7. But now the movie will open in theatres on October 19.
Bollywood has become quite an exciting place to be. No, we are not referring to the obvious fame and riches it brings to all those who are a part of it, but rather because of the amazing stories that they get to be a part of. We would be lying if we said we aren’t jealous of just how much fun their everyday life seems to be. Take for example, the latest film announcement that was made today. Rajkumar Gupta, who has delivered thought-provoking films like No One Killed Jessica, Ghanchakkar, Raid in the past, has announced his next and we can’t wait to catch it already.
Starring Arjun Kapoor, the film is an ode to the unsung heroes who strive everyday to make the lives of Indians better. It is apparently an inspirational story that will motivate the youth of the country into action. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? Talking about the same, Arjun had earlier tweeted, “Honoured to be a part of an untold story that will inspire India! #IndiasMostWanted, a tribute to all the unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to protect ours. In cinemas May 24, 2019. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Co-produced by @rajkumar_rkg & @foxstarhindi.” The actor had, back then, informed that the film will go on the floors in August and it indeed has. The film’s director also tweeted about the same today. Here’s the tweet:
Arjun, too, seems quite excited for the film for he, too, tweeted saying, “The start of a new film always feels like a mission & this time it actually is with #IndiasMostWanted Happy & excited starting my 12th film !!! Mark the date 24th May 2019. @rajkumar_rkg @foxstarhindi @raapchik_films #IMW”
And Arjun’s uncle, Anil Kapoor, too, thinks just like every mission that his nephew undertakes, this one will be successful too. Also, he revealed his nickname for Arjun and it is quite cute, we must say. Check out his tweet right here:
Arjun seems to have consciously made a decision to work in different kind of films now and his roster reflects that. talking about the same, at a press conference earlier, the actor had said, “Namastey England with Parineeti Chopra is releasing on Dusshera in October and after that Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will release. India’s Most Wanted and Panipat will also release in the coming period. The kind of love I have received from the audience in the past seven years, I hope these four films will get double or triple times the love and appreciation. It is an exciting year for me. I have finished shooting for Namastey England and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. I will start shooting for India’s Most Wanted from August, which is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. I am trying to do different kind of films. Let’s see how the audience responds to it.” India’s Most Wanted will release on May 24, 2019.
Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor Khan & Arjun Kapoor are busy with their choc-o-bloc schedule as they have some great upcoming projects in their kitty. Amidst everything, what comes as an exciting news is the duo reuniting on the silver screen for the sequel of Anurag Basu’s Life In A Metro.
Bebo & Arjun last worked together in Ki & Ka (2016) which gained success at the box office and was appreciated by the viewers. Now, according to a source close to leading daily DNA, “Kareena Kapoor Khan will reportedly feature in one of the stories and Arjun Kapoor will also be a part of one of the other plots. Their tracks are not connected is what we hear.”
Furthermore, the report states that the filmmaker has almost finished scripting the sequel and is most likely to produce it himself. Well, Kareena seems to be on a roll with the kind of line-ups she has since her last, Veere Di Wedding.
While Kareena has already bagged two films, Good News with Akshay Kumar which is set to release in 2019 and Karan Johar’s directorial which was announced today, Takht starring an ensemble cast, which will hit the theatres in 2020. Now with Life In A Metro, looks like Kareena’s back in the industry with a bang! Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor also has a huge lineup with projects including Rajkumar Gupta’s India’s Most Wanted, Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat, Vipul Shah’s Namaste England and Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
Life In A Metro (2007) narrated the lives of nine people living in Mumbai, and was acclaimed by both critics and the viewers. Let’s see what Anurag Basu has in the box for its viewers this time and if the sequel is going to do better at the box office as compared to its original.
After completing the shooting for Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraarand Vipul Shah’s Namaste England, Arjun Kapoor is all set to dive into the production of his next biggie. The actor begins the shooting for Raj Kumar Gupta’s next, India’s Most Wanted tomorrow.
“The shooting for India’s Most Wanted will kick off this Friday, 10th August in Mumbai. They will shoot there for 10-12 days and after that there will be a short break before they begin the second schedule early next month at a different location. A few portions of the film will also be shot in Nepal,” a source close to the project informed us.
The source further added that the supporting cast of this film will mostly be fresh faces. “The casting for other officers who will feature in the Intelligence Bureau and police force in the film has been done and most of them are new names. Since it’s inspired by a real-life incident, Raj Kumar Gupta wanted to give it an authentic feel to the movie and hence he opted for some fresh names over the well-known actors.”
India’s Most Wanted is said to be the most ambitious project for both Arjun Kapoor and Raj Kumar Gupta. The director has reportedly spent three years researching, writing and casting for this edge-of-the-seat thriller. Inspired by a secret mission that was conducted between 2012 and 2014 to capture India’s one of the most dreaded terrorists, the film celebrates the valour and courage of unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to protect ours. Arjun will be seen playing an intelligence officer in this Fox Star Studios production scheduled to release on May 24, 2019.
Talking about collaborating with Raid director for the first time Arjun had said in his statement, “Working with Raj Kumar sir obviously excited me. His films are raw and gritty. They talk about true events and true heroes. When he narrated India’s Most Wanted to me I was moved. I was proud of my motherland and its unsung heroes. It is a film that will inspire patriotism within all of us. To play a character that might not be known to everybody but needs to be known by everybody was exciting. It’s always been something that has been at the back of my mind. It intrigues me as an actor to play this role but it excites me as an audience that I will be getting a chance to see this story unfold on the big screen.”
The 19th IIFA Awards 2018 were held in Bangkok this year and it was a huge success. After some entertaining acts by Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Bobby Deol and Iulia Vantur on stage, it was time for Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to gear up for their act. The actor made a smashing entry on a tuk-tuk as Mubarakan title track played in the background. Later Kriti Sanon joined him on stage and the song aptly transitioned to Tune maari entry. It was an entertaining performance and their chemistry was the highlight of it. We hope filmmakers are able to notice this great jodi and cast them in some project together. Until then, let’s watch some videos from their dance performance and groove with them simultaneously. 19th IIFA Awards were held in Bangkok this year and we must say it was a starry affair. Though celebs like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and others couldn’t attend the award ceremony, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon sure made up for them. It’s always a delight to see our stars put their best fashion foot forward for such gala evenings and IIFA was no different. We were mesmerised with Sharddha’s fairytale-inspired pink gown and adored Varun for looking so dapper. Joining this ABCD 2 duo in the best-dressed category at the IIFA ceremony were celebs like Ranbir Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Nushrat Bharucha, Dia Mirza, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Let’s elaborate on who wore what for this big night.
The Bareilly Ki Barfi actor was looking fabulous and probably the better dressed of all, even on this list. He went for a daring white, in a stark opposite of safe black that men usually pick, for the event and pulled it off effortlessly. Full marks to Rahul Khanna + Rohit Gandhi for this gorgeous looking white three-piece suit.
The Sanju actress was dressed simply and elegantly reminding us why she won Miss Asia Pacific 2000. She wore a number by Krésha Bajaj and we are loving that high slit.
The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actress had a disastrous outing at the IIFA Rocks event. But she went for the kill at the main event as she was dressed splendidly. She wore an elegant yet super sexy sheer dress with floral print. Applause!
Kartik was the rare celeb last night who wore a double-breasted tux. He was looking AMAAHZING in the Emporio Armani tuxedo. He wore Jimmy Choo shoes for the night! What a beauty.
The actor looked dapper in a black suit with a slight shimmer on it. The black coat was striped with black with gave it a distinct feel. And of course a cute bow tie. Though, we are not sure if he wore all shades of black from top to bottom or was it just the bad lighting that makes it seems so. Points deducted if its different shades of black!
Kriti looked beauts in bespoke Mark Bumgarner. Though, we have to add this is not the designer’s best work. Also, it sort of reminded us of Aishwarya’s Cinderella-inspired Michael Cinco gown. But, damn, is Kriti carrying this gown so fabulously. All marks to Kriti alone for landing on this list here.
The handsome actor was styled by Kunal Rawal. That dash of blue with the Tom Ford scarf on his black Armani tux is adding an extra edge to his OOTD. To oodles of sex appeal, Arjun is adding a tinge of cute with his bowtie. Certainly, dressed to make ladies go weak in the knees.
Boney Kapoor’s wife, Sridevi, passed away in February this year. The sudden tragedy brought Boney and his daughters, Janhvi and Khushi, closer to Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor, his kids from his first wife, Mona Shourie Kapoor. Arjun who had once said, he shares no relationship with his half-sisters, was seen supporting them at every step. Talking about their new bond, Boney has said in an interview that they are all his blood and he is glad they came together.
Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with recently released, Dhadak. “Shabana Azmi told me ‘Has Janhvi done chupke se 25-30 films that you haven’t released? She looks so polished on screen’. Rekhaji was in tears, Javed Akhtar also called,” Boney said talking about the reaction to Dhadak.
Boney also revealed that he and Sridevi had watched a few scenes of Dhadak before her demise.
