The last season was a huge hit on the BARC charts, and the channel is sparing no efforts to make this one a success as well. Action enthusiast and top Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is going to host it this year as well. The makers are trying to rope in A-List TV celebs like Zain Imam, Karan Patel, Shamita Shetty, Devoleena Bhattacharjee to name a few. One of the names doing the rounds was that of Avika Gor. Now, it is confirmed that the Balika Vadhu, Sasural Simar Ka and Laado 2 actress is doing the show. She has been a channel favourite since a long time. Talking to Bombay Times, Avika confirmed the news. She said, “I was approached earlier for other seasons as well, but due to prior commitments like my show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and some southern projects, I couldn’t be a part of it. This year it was practical and possible, so I immediately gave a nod.” Like previous year contestants Hina Khan and Nia Sharma, she is also an adventure junkie. She told the paper, “I am an adventure junkie, but honestly, even if a person is adventurous, there is something or the other that he or she is scared of and in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ there is no mercy. I have always been the youngest and the most pampered on the sets. Here it’s a competition, this show will be a challenge for me.” (Also Read: Bigg Boss 11: Arjun Bijlani, Avika Gor and Meghna Malik to enter Salman Khan’s show)

Incidentally, she also revealed that she has no fears as such. “I have no phobias as such, just a little scared of creepy crawly creatures, they aren’t cute at all. This show will be a test of my strengths. I am going with a lot of hopes. I will face all my fears with complete control, focus and confidence,” she said signing off. Well, after the no-show of Laado 2, we’re sure that she will want to make a great comeback. Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates!

Surbhi Jyoti opens up about replacing Mouni Roy in Naagin 3 – read exclusive interview

Surbhi Jyoti impressed one and all with her debut show Qubool Hai. She proved that she was a versatile actress when she followed it up with Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai that had her as a nervous lovestruck Geetanjali, who is on a quest to solve a mystery. Now, she is back with Naagin 3. The show is the most prestigious one on Indian Television, being the TRP topper for two consecutive seasons. In an EXCLUSIVE chat with Bollywood Life, Surbhi said, “I think the hardest part of doing the show was to convince myself about it. I have played realistic roles so far. Now, who does not want to work with Balaji Productions or Colors. They are the No.1 channel and production house. Everyone wants to work with them.” (Also Read: Naagin 3: Pearl V Puri joins Anita Hassanandani, Surbhi Jyoti and Karishma Tanna as the lead cast, read details)

Surbhi confesses that she was initially wary of the comparisons between her and the now iconic, Naagin Shivaanya played by the stunning Mouni Roy. “Yes, I was really confused because of the comparison and concept thing but then I realised whatever it is, it’s the numero uno show on Indian TV. And if I am being offered this show, I should take it as a compliment that people feel I can fit the part and it’s another feather in my cap,” she states. She further says that the comparisons do not bother her as Naagin is a huge brand in itself. “People are madly and absolutely in love with the serpents and Naagins. I can give my hundred per cent and the rest depends on the others. I feel that if I do my work honestly leaving no room for complaints, I can be assured for success,” she asserts. When we asked Surbhi that people in urban India tend to look down upon Indian fantasy shows like Naagin while going gaga over Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, she stated, “Hollywood movies have huge budgets. They are much stronger on the technical side. We cannot run away from that reality. We have the plus point of having an audience that loves fantasy. We have grown up seeing movies on serpents and fairy tales. We cannot compare but can work towards own betterment.”

When asked if he loved adventure sports or not, Zain told the publication, “I have done river rafting so far and wanted to skydive once in life. There were talks of him being a part of the upcoming show on Star Plus, Maryam Khan – Reporting Live but Zain told us that he was in talks with the makers. Mahesh Bhatt’s Naamkarann based on his struggles with illegitimacy started off as a different show the ratings went up only after the leap took place. The show has a huge following online but when it comes to TV viewership, it has struggled to be in the top 20. Talking on the show going off air, Zain stated, “I am not sure about the exact reason but we, too, have been hearing that a lot of shows will be axed. The channel is planning to revamp. Since it was not leading the slot, they’ve decided to take the show off air. However, I am happy that the audience liked the show and the feedback, especially for my character, has been encouraging. Besides, I also feel that its better to end a show when its still doing well. I want to thank my fans for their immense support and love.”

Drashti Dhami – Shakti Arora’s new show is called Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka

Colors is coming up with four shows in the coming two months and the most exciting one is the Drashti DhamiShakti Arora – Aham Sharma starrer. While it was earlier titled as Baware Nain, it is called Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. Well, long titles are quite common in the TV industry and are also considered as lucky. It is also final that Shakti will be romancing Drashti on the show. The other actress is Aditi Dev Sharma. She is best known for her show, Gangaa that had a very successful run on &TV. Of late, Aditi did the Punjabi film, Subedar Joginder Singh, which was a hit in the state. Fans of Drashti and Shakti are going berserk as both of them have had successful associations with the channel. While Drashti’s Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is still a huge success in many countries across the world, Shakti became a star after his stint as Ranveer on Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee was also being considered for the role but Drashti was finally finalised. (Also Read: Exclusive! Baware Nain: Is this the plot of the Shakti Arora ; Devoleena Bhattacharjee ; Aham Sharma starrer?)

There is buzz that it is a drama-centred around an extra-marital affair. Speculations are that it is based on Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna where Shakti will be married to Aditi but ends up falling in love with Drashti. Bollywood Life earlier told you that the film is based around a heart transplant. One of the actresses has a cameo on the show. After she dies, her heart gets transplanted to the leading lady and two men end up falling in love with her. Aham Sharma will be playing a grey character on the show. Shakti was in the news recently for his marriage with long-time girlfriend, Neha Saxena. With two shows, Laado 2 and Dil Se Dil Tak going off-air, it is obvious that it will take her place. Drashti’s last show Pardes Main Hai Mera Dil did not do too well. Stay tuned to Bollywood Life for more scoop and updates!

Exclusive! Baware Nain: Is this the plot of the Shakti Arora – Devoleena Bhattacharjee – Aham Sharma starrer?

There is a lot of talk around the new Sphere Origins, show Baware Nain. It is supposed to be the comeback of Shakti Arora on Colors after Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi. He is supposed to be sharing screen space with Aham Sharma, who has a grey character on the show. The plot also seems to be quite interesting. A source informed Bollywood Life, “Aham Sharma and Drashti Dhami will be husband and wife on the show but Drashti’s character will die soon. She has a cameo. Her heart will be transplanted to Devoleena Bhattacharjee who will be in love with Shakti Arora. Later, even Aham will start falling in love with Devoleena and a love triangle will happen.” It seems Drashti was earlier the front-runner for the lead role but now the makers are more in favour of the pair of Shakti and Devoleena. When we got in touch with Devoleena, she said, “I cannot comment anything on this right now.” (Also Read: Hear this! Aham Sharma to join Shakti Arora in Colors extramarital drama)

There are a number of novels and films written on heart transplants on how the recipient falls in love with the donor and vice versa. The topic in itself has a lot of scope and seems to be a refreshing one. Netflix had the Korean drama Beating Again where a person with a heart transplant starts looking at the world in a new manner. Romance is seen as Shakti’s forte after MATSH. On the other hand, Devoleena has been a bahu since ages. This will be a good break for her from that image.
