Sunny Leone:”I Am The Best Mother I Can Be”

Sunny Leone, who started off as an adult film star and ventured into Bollywood with Jism 2” in 2012, is right now in love with her life as it is unfolding. She is not just managing a career, but also enjoying her time being a mother of three — something that has helped her change and evolve.

The Canadian-born Indian-American actress was named Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003 and shifted her focus to mainstream acting in Hindi films with Jism 2, following it up with Ragini MMS 2, Ek Paheli Leela, Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Mastizaade and Tera Intezaar.

Have changed for the better with motherhood: Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone:”I Am The Best Mother I Can Be”

Asked if she feels content when she looks back at her journey from Karenjit Kaur Vohra to Sunny Leone, she told IANS in an e-mail interview from Los Angeles: “Yes, because I love my life now.”

Her life has inspired a digital platform series titled “Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone”.

Did she have any initial apprehensions about putting her entire life out for the world to know?

“Yes, many. But what swayed me to do it is that the story would be told in a way that I was comfortable with… the true story and not something that people believe it to be,” said Sunny, who entered Indian showbiz via a stint in the reality TV show “Bigg Boss 5”.

Last year, the actress, who is married to Daniel Weber, took everyone by surprise when she announced that she and her husband had adopted girl child named Nisha from a village in Latur. Another surprise came in March, when she shared that the two had extended their brood by including two more children — sons Noah and Asher — via surrogacy.

Sunny, who is currently seen hosting season 11 of youth-based reality show Splitsvilla on MTV, says motherhood has changed her.

“I have changed and evolved but I believe (it has happened) for the better. I look at all three of them and am completely, utterly in love with them,” she said.

With three toddlers to give attention to, will her career slow down?

“I believe I am the best mother I can be if I am working and spending time with them. I love my job and I hope my children grow up to be just as hardworking as my husband and I,” said Sunny.

The 37-year-old actress says Daniel and she have scheduled their “time carefully so that our children do not ever feel a lack of attention, care or love”.

Ever since her debut in Bollywood, Sunny has faced flak, trolls and criticism. She finds it immature and not necessary.

“I try to brush it off and move past the hate always. I believe myself not to be a negative person so I have to find the positives in life and in people to do my job. That will never change in me. But I am affected and more annoyed from time to time at the nonsense the media comes up with or random groups come up with. It is immature and not necessary,” she said.

Koffee with Karan 6: Janhvi Kapoor, Sunny Leone, Ishaan Khatter to make their debut on KJo’s chat show?

One hour of a chat session and a lifetime of questions to answer following that. That’s how crazy popular Koffee with Karan is. The show hosted by eponymous Karan Johar might be titled Koffee with Karan but its main attraction is to spill the tea. The show was a huge success on its fifth cycle and it is all set to return with the sixth season sooner than we thought. Earlier, news reports have claimed that the show goes on floors by September this year. Now, another report suggests three names who are potential guests on the show – Janhvi Kapoor, Sunny Leone and Ishaan Khatter.

A news report by DNA suggests that the makers have locked in the three actors to make their Kofee debut this season. Janhvi and Ishaan are the new Dharma darlings. Their debut movie, Dhadak, has done an impressive business at the box office. So, just like SOTY debutants, expect them to be sitting on the Koffee couch this time. Then there is Google’s most searched celeb, Sunny, who certainly will make an impressionable appearance on the hit show in one of the episodes. It is not yet revealed if any of these episodes will open the season.

There is a high chance that Janhvi and Ishana will appear together on the show, of course. Also, we are totally wondering as to who will be the accompanying guest with Sunny on her episode. The actress is currently enjoying the success of her show Karenjit Kaur, which premiered on Zee5 last month.

Earlier, it was reported that the opening episode of the forthcoming season of Koffee with Karan will feature Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, though there has been no confirmation from the makers about the same. Well, Virat, Anushka, Sunny, Ishaan, Janhvi – the lineup for this year already making hearts flutter.

Koffee with Karan 6, bring it on!

Sunny Leone to make her Mollywood debut with Omar Lulu’s next project?

Sunny Leone, who is currently basking the success of her biographical web-series Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone is rumoured to make her Mollywood debut in Omar Lulu. The film is expected to be a colourful comedy and the untitled venture already has  Jayaram, Dharmajan Bolghatty, Honeyrose and Vinay Forrt in pivotal roles. As per the reports, Omar had earlier considered Mia Khalifa for the role but the makers have finalized Sunny Leone. Though Omar has refused to comment on Sunny Leone’s casting in the film.

When asked the reason about the delay of his film Oru Adaar Love, Omar replied, “There were some issues with the producer. FEFKA (Film Employees Federation of Kerala) has intervened and promised to resolve the issues. There will be a meeting and a decision in the next two days”. The song also featured Roshan Abdul Rahoof and the cute chemistry between him and Priya won everyone’s hearts. Guess Which Star Kids Are Going To Grace The Koffee With Karan Couch This Season

Koffee With Karan is one of the most entertaining talk shows on Indian TV ever and it also happens to be the most coveted couch that every celebrity wants to be on. So, naturally, everyone wants to know who would feature in the next season. In latest news, DNA reports that debutants Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter will be seen on the couch in Season 6 of the show. This obviously is of no surprise as both the star kids were launched under Karan Johar‘s banner, Dharma Production. It’s also widely known that Karan is extremely close to Janhvi and has started taking a special interest in her career as well. Both Janhvi and Ishaan are currently riding high on the success of Dhadak. These two have given us a glimpse of their goofy side while they were on their promotional spree for the movie. So, I can’t wait to see these two together on Karan’s coveted couch and of course, I’m sure just like with each passing season, the new season will be bigger and better.

Other than Janhvi and Ishaan, reports suggest that even Sunny Leone will be on of the guests on the show but rumour has it that she will be making a solo appearance.

Woah! How awesome is that? I can’t wait for Season 6 of KWK! What about you?

Sunny Leone: I don’t see myself as a victim but I may be a soft target

Sunny Leone says whenever her name is dragged into controversies, she may feel like a “soft target” but does not identify as a “victim”. In the past, her dance performances have been cancelled and the actor has been at the receiving end of some politicians’ sexist remarks. Asked if she feels victimised, Leone said, “I don’t see myself as a victim but I may be a soft target. I believe people should have the right to say what they want to, when they want to, how they want to, whether it’s right or wrong is their choice and moral stand.”

“Most of the time I brush it off because it’s nonsense. Sometimes it gets on my nerves. Does it hurt me? No. Is it annoying? Yes,” the actor, whose real name is Karenjit Kaur, told reporters here. The actor was speaking at the launch of her biographical web series, “Karenjit Kaur- The Untold Story of Sunny Leone”. Asked if there were portions from her life she did not want the film to explore, Leone said, “A lot of them”.  ALSO READ: Zee5 original Karenjit Kaur’s motion poster shows us Sunny Leone’s family pictures, her Penthouse mag cover and more – watch video

Leone described the process of narrating her story to the show’s writers as full of “laugh and a lot of tears”. “It had to make sense to our story. So whether it was a good thing or bad, I had to tell it all. We sat for six months where I just told stories about myself and from those stories we have made 20 episodes,” she said. The Zee5 web series goes online from July 16 and the actor says she is nervous about sharing her story with the world.

“I’m still trying to get convinced if I did the right thing but what Aditya (director) has shot, it’s really beautiful. I’m happy the director let me be me. “I’m still on the fence whether it was the right choice or the wrong. I know deep down it was the right choice. I’m just scared, that’s all,” she added.
